A woodcock's sky dance is one of the most exciting signs of spring in Maine! Just after dusk, these incredible, chunky birds perform a mating ritual you won't want to miss. Join us at Trolley Marsh Preserve in Warren to watch, learn, and share in the excitement of the changing seasons.
Gail Presley, avid birder and board member of Midcoast Audubon, will provide interpretation about the American woodcock, why they dance, where they live, and what makes them so special.
This event is free and open to everyone. Registration is required. Please wear waterproof boots and warm layers. A folding chair or something to keep you dry while sitting on the ground is recommended. We will supply some tarps.
