About the event
Join Georges River Land Trust and the Rockland Public Library for a panel discussion with women trails professionals in the Midcoast on Thursday, May 7 at 6:30pm. Hear from three Midcoast land stewardship professionals about their experience as women in the trail-building and trail-maintaining space. Learn about the many paths that can lead you to trail work, what trail work can look like, and the ample opportunities to get involved in trail work on local conserved lands!
Trail-building professionals aim to make nature accessible to community members of all identities and abilities through their work. As this field has been historically male-dominated, this panel offers an opportunity for women working on trails in the Midcoast to share their experiences, with the hope that other women will see themselves represented and feel inspired to join the field.
This discussion will be moderated by Isabella Childs Michael from Georges River Land Trust,…
