About the event
Spring is an especially exciting time for animals like yellow-spotted salamanders and wood frogs, who have migrated to their breeding grounds: ephemeral bodies of water called vernal pools!
Join us for a guided walk and tour of our favorite vernal pools in the Rockland Bog Preserve! Scientist David Marceau will provide his amphibian expertise. We will meet at the Rte. 90 entrance of the Rockland Bog Preserve at 1p.m. The vernal pools are about 0.75 miles into the preserve. We will hike together and spend some time looking for frogs, salamanders, egg mases, insects, and more!
This event is free and open to everyone. Please reserve your spot here!
