We are so excited to formally announce our new Rockland Bog Preserve trailhead on Beechwood Street in Thomaston! From this point, hikers can access over 7 miles of trails, creating great opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, birding, and more. Come see for yourself!

About the event
Join us for a celebration and exploration of our new trails at the Rockland Bog Preserve! We'll have refreshments and maps available. Bring your family and friends, your hiking shoes or your mountain bike, and come check out this expansive network of multi-use woodland trails.
The Rockland Bog is a unique ecosystem, containing forested wetlands, trails along the Oyster River and its streams, and the largest peatland bog complex in the Midcoast. Georges River Land Trust is proud to hold over 670 acres of the Rockland Bog in conservation.
Our new trailhead on Beechwood St in Thomaston provides access to over 7 miles of trails - a combination of old logging roads and trails built by us and our friends at Midcoast Trails Stewardship.
