Join us and the Washington Grunge for a group hike and gathering at Cross Cushing Nature Preserve - a hidden gem and great spot for a dip!

About the event
The Grunge, in partnership with Georges River Land Trust and Midcoast Conservancy, will host Welcoming Walkabouts, outdoor meetups for LGBTQIA+ community members at various trails throughout the Midcoast this summer. Treks include a short hike with time to foster connections with each other and with nature.
This Welcoming Walkabout will take place at Cross Cushing Nature Preserve in Cushing from 10am-12pm on Sunday, July 19. LGBTQIA+ community members, along with their allies, are invited to explore the preserve’s woodland trails and connect with new and familiar friends! This preserve offers a great spot for a refreshing dip in the ocean.
These walks are free and open to all ages. Children and leashed dogs are welcome. Please register. If you take photos at the event, please make sure you have permission from others.
