About the event
Impressed by Nature
Take some inspiration from nature’s summer exuberance and learn a new skill at the same time! In this introduction to relief printing we will use simple tools to design, carve, and produce our own single-color block prints. Bring an image idea (for a 3x4-inch format) or let the flora and fauna of the Gibson Preserve be your guide.
Tools and materials provided. This workshop is free. Space is limited; register to secure your spot.
This workshop is led by Maine Master Naturalist and artist Sherrie York. Learn more about Sherrie's work here.
Participants should expect to traverse about 0.4-miles of trails at Gibson Preserve during the workshop. A bathroom is available on site. Please contact maeve@grlt.org with questions.
