About the event
From the Maine Feminist Bird Club:
Come birding (and paddling) with us!
On this adventure, we'll enjoy the wildlife and scenery of the St. George River, a known hotspot for wading birds, shorebirds, eagles, ospreys, kingfishers, and plenty more. We'll identify birds by sight and song as we paddle along. All are welcome! Absolutely no birding experience is needed.
We'll meet on Sunday, July 19 at 2pm at the Thomaston Boat Launch. Be sure to bring your kayak, canoe, or paddle board, as well as a personal flotation device (like a life jacket).
A note on safety: Adults must have a life jacket on their boat at all times. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult and wear their PFDs at all time. Dogs are welcome to join you in your boat if they are comfortable on the water and in large groups of people. Paddling is…
