Jones Brook Trail

The Town Forest Trail is a short loop through mixed softwoods and over bridges of natural design. The Jones Brook Trail that connects to The Fort Point Trail is temporarily closed. The Fort Point Trail extends down to the Georges River to a historic site of a fort from the Napoleonic wars. Picnic tables make it an excellent place to eat lunch. These trails are a collaborative project of the St. George Conservation Commission, St. George Historical Society (Fort Point), and Georges River Land Trust.

The Kinney Woods trailhead is on Kinney Woods Road, 0.7 miles east of Route 131. The Wiley's Corner trailhead is located at the intersection of Wiley's Corner Road and Route 131, five miles south of the intersection of Routes 1 and 131 in Thomaston.

The trails all have a few narrow bridges as well as occasional roots and stones to step over. The terrain is moderately level and provides an easy walk for those hikers looking for a longer trip.
