How can you help?
You can support conservation in the Georges River watershed in so many ways! Consider a few of the ideas below, and thank you for all that you do! Click on each title to see more details.
Monthly Sustaining Giving
Monthly sustaining giving is one of the most substantial ways you can protect our watershed. Recurring gifts even out our cash flow, and give us a base of support that we can count on for planning purposes. The secure link below will keep you right here on our site, and lead to our donation forms.

A Gift of Stock
A gift of stock is a great way to protect forests, fields and the river. Call our office at (207) 594-5166 and we’ll provide you with instructions on how to make a gift of stock directly from your account to ours.
Tax-Free IRA Charitable Rollover
A tax-free IRA charitable rollover to the Land Trust is a great way to protect our iconic landscapes, and save on your taxes. This information sheet explains the key details you need to know to make a gift directly from your IRA to the Land Trust. If you are 70 1/2 or older, a direct gift is not counted as income for you, thereby keeping your taxes lower. It is a powerful way to support local conservation!
Volunteer your time and skills
We run on volunteer power. Many hands make light work, and we can’t do it without our volunteers. If you have interest in spending a few hours a week in the office or out on the trail, contact us today or give us a call us at (207) 594-5166.

All proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles will support local land protection, nature education, and the 70-mile Georges Highland Path trail system. Click here for more information.
Join the White Oak Society
Joining the White Oak Society tells us that you want to make a long-term commitment to local conservation with a promise to help grow the organization and by giving $1,000 or more each year. Learn more about this dedicated group…
A Planned Gift
A planned gift is a great way to make an impact. By planning a gift through your estate, you could have a substantial affect on assuring that local conservation will continue in perpetuity. Our Director of Partnerships would be happy to have a confidential conversation with you about our planned gift options.
Memorial and Tribute Giving
Memorial and tribute gifts are common at the Land Trust. What better way to recognize someone you love than to preserve what they love. Give a gift in honor of someone by entering their name on the donation form and we’ll put that gift to work protecting the trails, waterways, and lands that make our region so beautiful. We will send them a note telling them of your generous gift in their honor.
Gift Ideas and Memberships
Give a membership, hat, map, or other gift from Georges River Land Trust! From holidays to birthdays, we love to be shared with those you care about. Use the link below to give a gift of membership. Be certain to enter their name, and we will send them a note telling them of your generous gift. Call us at (207) 594-5166 to learn about hats, t-shirts, and maps.
Shop and Search for Good
Help Goodshop help us. Did you know Goodshop and Goodsearch will send a gift to us for each of your purchases or internet searches? Select Georges River Land Trust as your charity to support, and the money will flow to us, free to you. Click the logo below to start shopping and searching!
Turn Your Cans and Bottles into Land and Trails
Your recyclables can be turned into preserves and trails! Stop into the entry to our office at 8 N. Main St., Rockland, and pick up free Clynk bags. Fill them with all your cans and bottles, return them to the Clynk redemption site near you (the Hannaford parking lot in Rockland is one), and the money will go directly to our land protection and recreation programs.
Can you double your gift with an employer match? Many workplaces support non-profits such as the Land Trust with a match to your gift. Make a donation with the link below, and take the receipt to your employer to see if they support the thriving business region that Georges River Land Trust helps to preserve by protecting our water, land, and scenic beauty.
Either of the secure links below will keep you right here on our site, and lead to our donation forms.

If you are a business owner, then you know effective partnerships can make a big difference to your success. Our partners help us in many ways, each according to their ability and talents. Some volunteer employee time, others display our maps and brochures, and others make financial contributions toward our work. In return, we promote them to our 1,000 members, offer opportunities for exposure, discounts on some advertising at the Free Press, and other benefits. Talk to our Director of Partnerships about how we can work together to make our watershed a better place for your business and ours, and consider making a donation at either of the secure links below. They will keep you right here on our site, and lead to our donation forms.
