GRLT Named Environmental Leader of the Year

The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce has named Georges River Land Trust the Environmental Leader of the Year!! The Year in Review Awards Gala on February 10, 2023, was an opportunity to be recognized by our community for extraordinary contributions.

This award recognizes a person, business, or organization that has worked diligently to preserve/protect/enhance our environment and works in a manner compatible with the environment, using sustainable practices. – PBRCC

“We are thrilled to be awarded the Environmental Leadership Award by the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce,” said Marie McNeely, Director of Partnerships. “It’s a significant recognition of the initiative we have underway to partner with local businesses and help them profit from reducing their impact on the environment. Most businesses don’t have a climate action plan, but we can point the way.”
