Georges River Land Trust Applies for Accreditation

The Georges River Land Trust is pleased to announce that it is applying for accreditation from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. Land trusts who meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places forever are recognized with accreditation from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. As part of the application process, we invite you to comment on the Georges River Land Trust’s performance in meeting national standards.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs. By achieving accreditation, the Georges River Land Trust will assure the public that it operates in conformity with national quality standards adopted by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

The Commission invites public input and accepts signed, written comments on pending applicants. Comments must relate to how the Georges River Land Trust complies with national quality standards that address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust.
