To See a Place: Exploring Photography
June 27, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$35 – $45It is hard to make an unattractive picture of the Maine landscape. Beautiful natural settings, quintessential fishing and farming vistas, picturesque towns – the raw material for great, iconic images. If you love outdoor photography, this four-hour workshop led by Margot Kelley, a former photography instructor at the Art Institute of Boston, is for you. Explore techniques that photographers use to focus on subjects of interest, then move out into the landscape to make pictures.
To cap the event, you will be provided a country lunch at picnic tables on the shore of South Thomaston’s harbor, where the ocean at high tide feeds the marsh, while you discuss what you photographed and the stories in each picture. Bring a digital camera (or a cell phone), water and a notepad.
Note: Rain date is Friday, June 28. This event was originally scheduled for Thursday, June 20.
Facilitator: Margot Kelley
Limited to 12 participants.
