The Langlais Art and Conservation Legacy
April 17, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Cynthia Trone, Youth Program Coordinator and Annette Naegel, Director of Conservation, both of Georges River Land Trust, will weave a story of how the Langlais Sculpture Preserve in Cushing came to be. The home of Bernard and Helen Langlais, including artist’s studios, sculpture collection and 90-acres of preserved land, is a living tribute to their creative and exuberant legacy. It is one of the gems in the Land Trust’s portfolio’s of conserved properties and offers unique opportunities for all ages and interests in the midcoast community. Come learn about the property, its history, the players and its ongoing benefit to children and adults in the community.
This event will be held at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge located at 9 Water Street in Rockland. Any questions about the Refuge please contact them at 594-0600 ext. 5. Questions about the Langlais Preserve, please contact Georges River Land Trust at 594-5166.
