Quigg Island Community Forest Conversation
November 17 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Sign up to hear Annette Naegel, Director of Conservation, talk about our newest conservation project to permanently conserve the northern portion of Quigg Island on Stevens Pond in Liberty. The free event will be broadcast on November 17 at 6:30 pm. This online webinar is intended to encourage residents to ask questions, and offer ideas or comments about what you would like to see relative to the care of the island going forward to benefit the community. The webinar will be hosted by the Liberty Library, and you can register to receive the login information on their website.
This 40-acre parcel was owned by two members of the Robbins family of Searsmont for many years, and the Land Trust is eager to continue the long-held practice of wise stewardship and management of the forest while allowing public access. The property will be open to the public, via the water access off Route 173. The Land Trust sees the opportunity to steward this property as a partnership with the community and hopes to hear from citizens in this conversation.
