A Celebration of River, History, Food, and Friends

September 7, 2013 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$55 – $65

Join the celebration with food, beverages, and a reenactment of the historical novel, Come Spring. The setting will be Richard Lee and Cherry Short-Lee’s farm in Warren, situated on beautiful White Oak Pond along the main channel of the Georges River.
The food portion of the event will include colonial dishes, hearty and robust, all in keeping with the historical theme. Vegetarian and other alternatives can be provided. The moments to savor, however, will be the Come Spring Chronicle Player’s readings from the novel. Locals Vicki Harriman and Peter Duffey, together with their cast, will present readings and reenactments from the beloved novel that tells the story of the first founders of Union, Maine. This will be the troupe’s seventh performance, and earlier shows received much acclaim.

The fall weather will be wonderful, the stews savory, and entertainment lively. Much of the event, weather permitting, will be outdoors, so dress appropriately.

Hosts: Richard Lee and Cherry Short-Lee
Limited to 20 participants.

Please call us if you would like to be put on the waiting list – (207) 594-5166.
