Romy grew up in Belfast, where Maine’s rivers, woods and farms led to her interest in environmental science. After high school, she left Belfast for New Haven to study Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Yale. When she left college, she took the scenic route back home, stopping in New York where she served sushi at a restaurant in NoHo.
Now, she couldn’t be happier to be in Maine, and is eager to help Georges River Land Trust protect and provide public access to the diverse ecosystems of the St. George River region.
Fun fact: On a good day Romy can list the 50 states in alphabetical order! (Please put her to the test next time you see her. She says she needs practice).
