Medicinal Plant and Lyme Prevention Walk

Join Georges River Land Trust for a medicinal plant walk in the Appleton Preserve identifying and discussing the many native and invasive plants. The walk will help people improve their confidence in identifying plants and how some common invasive plants have medicinal properties. With an increase in Lyme disease awareness and fear of ticks, we will also discuss ways to dress tick bites in the field with common medicinal plants as well as other ways to improve immune resilience. The public is invited to take a walk through a productive blueberry barren on the edge of Sennebec Pond to explore the link between pollinators and Maine blueberry production.
