Apple Pruning Workshop

Georges River Land Trust will host a pruning workshop at the Langlais Sculpture Preserve in Cushing on Saturday, April 28th from 10 am until noon. Two local experts, Liz Stanley of Cooperative Extension, and Bill Long of Long Landscaping and board member of Georges River Land Trust, will demonstrate fruit tree pruning techniques designed to produce blossoms and luscious fruits. Spring Warbler Walk

Join John Weinrich and Dennis McKenna of Mid-Coast Audubon at the Pleasant Point Nature Preserve in Cushing to seek out migratory birds, particularly warblers. Warblers are small, colorful songbirds that often use the coastal peninsulas in Maine as foraging stops during migration. Paddle the Georges River

Join us for a boating adventure on the middle section of the Georges River. We will lead canoeists and kayakers on an exploration of the extraordinary and undeveloped portion of the river south from White Oak Pond in Warren to the Middle Road bridge and back.
