WindowDressers for Langlais
November 16, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteers needed for Langlais WindowDressers Community Build
Georges River Land Trust is looking for volunteers to help construct energy conserving widow inserts for the Langlais Sculpture Preserve. We are reserving a Langlais build at WindowDressers for Wednesday November 16th from 8:30 to noon at the Lincoln Street Center in Rockland.
WindowDressers is a nonprofit dedicated to helping Mainers reduce their energy costs with seasonal inserts that are an inexpensive alternative to window replacement. Their model of community builds helps to keep the costs low of the inserts.
To save energy costs in the Bernard and Helen Langlais home, which is part of the new Langlais Sculpture Preserve, the Land Trust enlisted WindowDressers to install these inserts. Rather than replace the windows at great cost, the inserts save energy, reduce draft, increase comfort and preserve the historic character of old houses, such as the Langlais home.
The Land Trust is pleased to partner with WindowDressers. Please call the Land Trust at 594-5166 before November 8 to reserve a space (limit of 8 people) and get directions for the Community Build. Be a part of the Langlais Community Build and have some fun!
