My “free range” upstate New York childhood is the foundation of my love of nature and the outdoors. My mom’s answer to after school time was “go outside”, and so we did.
Biking, wandering, exploring, just sitting in the sun, or in a tree, watching, listening, observing. It was at times, magical.
When I allow myself to do any or all of those as an adult, I am transported to that timeless part of myself. I am a speck of the vast universe, interconnected with all around me.
